How to install CloudPanel on VPS?

Step 1: Connect to Your VPS Using SSH

First, open the Terminal on your computer and connect to your VPS.

Use:

ssh -p 22 root@YOUR_SERVER_IP

For example:

ssh -p 22 root@36.50.40.140

If you are connecting to the server for the first time, you may see:

Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no/[fingerprint])?

Type:

yes

and press Enter.

Now enter your VPS root password.

After successful login, your terminal should look similar to:

root@server:~#

This means you are now connected to your VPS.

Step 2: Update the Server

Before installing aaPanel, update the package information on your VPS.

Run:

apt update

Wait until the process is complete.

Keeping the package list updated helps prevent compatibility problems during installation.

Step 3: Upgrade Existing Packages

Now upgrade the currently installed packages.

Run:

apt upgrade

During the process, you may see:

Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

Type:

Y

and press Enter.

Wait for the upgrade process to finish.

Step 4: Open the CloudPanel Installation Page

Open Google and search for:

CloudPanel install in Ubuntu

Then open the official CloudPanel Documentation website.

Select your VPS operating system, such as Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and choose your preferred database engine.

After that, copy the CloudPanel installation command shown on the page.

Step 5: Run the Installation Command

Paste the copied installation command into your VPS terminal and press Enter.

The CloudPanel installation will start automatically.

Wait until the installation is complete.

When you see:

The installation of CloudPanel is complete!

CloudPanel has been successfully installed.

The terminal will also show the CloudPanel login URL, usually like:

https://YOUR-SERVER-IP:8443

Step 6: Create the Admin User

Open the CloudPanel URL in your browser.

You will see the Admin User Creation page.

Enter the required information:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • User Name
  • Email
  • Password
  • Timezone

For Bangladesh, you can select:

Asia/Dhaka

Then check the box to accept the license terms and privacy policy.

Click Create User.

Step 7: Log In to CloudPanel

After creating the admin account, the CloudPanel login page will appear.

Enter your:

  • Username
  • Password

Then click Log In.

Step 8: Open the CloudPanel Dashboard

After a successful login, you will be redirected to the CloudPanel Dashboard.

From the Sites section, you can manage your websites.

To add a new website, click the + ADD SITE button.
