Step 1: Connect to Your VPS Using SSH
First, open the Terminal on your computer and connect to your VPS.
Use:
ssh -p 22 root@YOUR_SERVER_IP
For example:
ssh -p 22 root@36.50.40.140
If you are connecting to the server for the first time, you may see:
Are you sure you want to continue connecting (yes/no/[fingerprint])?
Type:
yes
and press Enter.
Now enter your VPS root password.
After successful login, your terminal should look similar to:
root@server:~#
This means you are now connected to your VPS.

Step 2: Update the Server
Before installing aaPanel, update the package information on your VPS.
Run:
apt update
Wait until the process is complete.
Keeping the package list updated helps prevent compatibility problems during installation.

Step 2:

Step 3: Upgrade Existing Packages

Type:

and press Enter.
Wait for the upgrade process to finish.

Step 4: Visit the Official aaPanel Website
Open your web browser and visit the official aaPanel website.
Look for the aaPanel Free Edition Install Script section.
You will find an installation command for supported Linux operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian, and CentOS.
Step 5:

Step 5: Copy the aaPanel Installation Script
Click the Copy Free button beside the aaPanel installation command.
The command should look similar to this:

It is recommended to copy the latest installation command directly from the official aaPanel website because the script may be updated over time.

Step 6: Run the aaPanel Installation Script
Return to your SSH terminal.
Make sure you are still logged in as the root user.
Now paste the copied installation command and press Enter.

Step 7: Confirm the Installation
During installation, aaPanel may ask:

and press Enter.
aaPanel will now download and install the required components.
The installation may take several minutes depending on your VPS performance and internet connection.

Step 8: Wait for aaPanel Installation to Complete
Once the installation is successful, you should see a message similar to:
Congratulations! Installed successfully!
aaPanel will then display your login information.
It may look similar to:
aaPanel Internet IPv4 Address:
https://SERVER_IP:PORT/security-path
username: your_username
password: your_password
Your actual URL, username, and password will be different.

Step 9: Save Your aaPanel Login Details
Make sure you securely save the following information:
- aaPanel Login URL

You will need these details whenever you want to access your aaPanel dashboard.
Do not publicly share your aaPanel username, password, or private login URL.

Step 10: Open aaPanel in Your Browser
Copy the aaPanel login URL shown in your terminal.
It will normally look similar to:
https://YOUR_SERVER_IP:PORT/security-path
Paste it into your browser.
You may initially receive a browser SSL warning when accessing the panel through the server IP. Follow the appropriate browser option only if you have confirmed that you are connecting to your own VPS.
The aaPanel login page will appear.
Enter your:
- Username
- Password
Then click Login.
Install the Web Server Environment
After logging in for the first time, aaPanel may ask you to install a web server environment.
You may see packages such as:
- Apache or Nginx
- MySQL / MariaDB
- PHP
- Pure-FTPd
- phpMyAdmin
Choose the web stack you need and start the installation.
For a beginner, you can use the recommended configuration shown by aaPanel unless your project requires a specific web server or PHP version.
Wait until all packages finish installing.
